What do I need to become a registered hunter?

It is free to register on our site as a hunter and you only pay a booking fee when you pay for your confirmed reservation. You will need to accept the terms and conditions of our site which details the rules you must follow while using the site. As a hunter, you are required to have all applicable state and federal licenses to hunt or fish.

How do I know where to access the land?

Once your reservation is confirmed and paid for, you will receive a confirmation email with more specific information about the land you will be hunting, including information on how to communicate with the owner, detailed property boundaries, landowner rules, etc. In addition, we send every landowner an official Rentahunt sign so that it can be posted onsite. When you get to the land, look for the Rentahunt sign with our signature jackalope logo and park near it. This ensures you are in the right place and also allows the landowner to know you are there.

Why do I have to check availability first?

When you decide on a location to hunt, you first need to check availability with the landowner. This enables the Landowner to confirm with their schedule that the land is available to hunt. Once the landowner confirms that their property is available, you will receive a confirmation email and then you will pay for your hunt.

What is the hunter booking fee?

When a hunter makes a reservation on our website, they will be charged a hunter booking fee. Typically, this fee is roughly 10% of the rental price. This fee is to help cover the costs of operating our website. All fees are subject to change at Rentahunt's sole discretion.
